Datacea

Datacea makes software to record and organize aspects of your life. Notes, receipts, books, workouts, recipes, memories, and the other things you care about can live together instead of being scattered across separate services. One tool instead of many. You can interrelate the things you record, and explore them in ways that are meaningful to you. Privacy by default, with the option to share if you choose.

No dark patterns. Your records are yours. There is no algorithmic feed and no pressure to perform for an audience. Zicarium begins as a private space. If you choose to share through OwnTimeline in the future, what you share — and the context in which it appears — will remain your choice.

Zicarium's local application, including import and export, is free by design, and will always remain free. Our value proposition lies in services we provide — such as seamless synchronization and backup across devices — not for continued access to your own records. If you choose to not use our services, you can still use Zicarium locally, and you can always export your data.

What we make

Zicarium

A private, connected place for notes, tasks, recipes, readings, and whatever else you keep track of. Different kinds of records stay organised and searchable together, and no account is required.

OwnTimeline

A way to publish selected records from Zicarium on your own terms, as public, permanent pages that remain yours.
